Inspector - Infrastructure and Sewerage

About the role

KN International is seeking a skilled Inspector for its Abu Dhabi office. The role covers monitoring and inspecting construction activities on infrastructure and sewerage projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations and industry best practice. The ideal candidate has experience in site inspection, quality control and contractor coordination, particularly in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections so that work follows approved plans, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor contractor activities against health, safety and environmental standards.
• Perform quality control checks on materials, workmanship and construction methods.
• Review and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
• Maintain records of daily site activities, inspection reports and non-conformance issues.
• Identify deficiencies, generate reports and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and contractors to resolve site issues.
• Visit sites to check excavation, bedding, pipe installation, compaction and backfilling for sewerage projects.
• Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, method statements and risk assessments.
• Attend progress meetings and report on construction status, risks and quality concerns.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on infrastructure and sewerage projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction practices, material testing and quality control.
• Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards and project regulations.
• Experience with inspection and documentation procedures for infrastructure projects; TAQA WS (SWS/ADSSC) approvals preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
