Installation and Cabling Technician

About the role

Pulse Nova, a joint venture between EDGE and INDRA, is looking for an Installation and Cabling Technician to support the assembly, installation and integration of advanced defence systems on naval, ground and airborne platforms. The role covers cable harness fabrication, electrical panel wiring, equipment installation and cabling of radar, electronic warfare and command-and-control systems, including basic electrical testing and support of integration, acceptance testing and field trials.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install cable harnesses (RF, power, data/Ethernet, control) and wire electrical panels according to engineering drawings and interconnection diagrams.
• Install systems such as radar antennas, EW units, C2 racks, electrical panels and sensors on naval, ground-vehicle and airborne/UAS platforms.
• Route and secure cables in trays, conduits and racks, label them, provide strain relief and connect them to standards.
• Perform continuity, insulation and basic functional checks on installed cabling and hardware.
• Support engineers during integration, FAT/SAT and field trials, including setup, troubleshooting and teardown.
• Maintain tools, test equipment and consumables, and help maintain inventory of cables, connectors and hardware.
• Report installation issues and non-conformities and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Vocational or technical qualification in electronics, electrical or electromechanical trades.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in cable harness fabrication, electrical panel wiring and system assembly (defence, aerospace, naval or industrial/automotive).
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, panel layouts, cable routing plans and mechanical drawings.
• Working English sufficient for technical instructions.
• Willingness to travel to integration sites and field or desert test campaigns.
• Physically able to lift and work inside vehicles, vessels or confined spaces, and fully certified for working at heights.

Required skills

• Crimping, soldering and connectorization (RF connectors such as N, SMA, TNC; Ethernet RJ45; power connectors)
• Basic use of multimeters and cable test equipment
