Instrument Mechanic - Cement Industry

About the role

An Instrument Mechanic is needed in the cement industry to inspect, maintain and repair plant instrumentation, control panels and PLC systems. The role also covers fabrication of small control panels, instrument wiring and preventive maintenance of generators.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, monitor and maintain plant instrumentation, control panels, PLC systems and related equipment.
• Perform overhauling, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of instrumentation systems and generators.
• Fabricate small control panels and carry out instrument wiring, including variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Calibrate and maintain weigh feeders, bucket elevators, screw conveyors and other plant instrumentation.
• Ensure reliable equipment operation and compliance with plant safety procedures.

Required profile

• ITI, Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Instrumentation, Electronics or a related field.
• 5-10 years of relevant industrial instrumentation maintenance experience.
• Cement industry experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of PLC systems and control panels.
• Instrumentation wiring and VFDs.
• Calibration of plant instrumentation.
