Insurance Manager

About the role

The Insurance Manager will lead the development and optimisation of the company’s insurance strategy across all jurisdictions, ensuring assets are protected and risks are mitigated. This senior role coordinates insurance programmes for the UAE, OpCo and international operations, leveraging strong industry relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive insurance programs to protect assets and mitigate risks.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate coverage options, including property, liability, business interruption, and specialty insurance.
• Leverage industry relationships to negotiate favourable terms and premiums with brokers, carriers, and underwriters.
• Conduct risk assessments for existing and new operations, projects, and assets, collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Oversee the claims process, ensuring timely filing, negotiation, and resolution, and serve as the primary contact for insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual insurance requirements and prepare reports on coverage, claims, and risk mitigation for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure comprehensive insurance coverage and effective risk management.

Required profile

• Extensive industry relations and experience in asset‑heavy industries.
• Previous experience in the data centre industry (advantage).
• Strong background in insurance strategy, risk management, and policy development.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance management, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC.
