Interface Manager - Offshore Oil & Gas Project

About the role

KBR is hiring an Interface Manager for a major offshore oil and gas development project, based at the EPC Contractor's office in Abu Dhabi. The role establishes, manages, coordinates and controls all project interfaces, acting as the custodian of the interface management process so that technical, organizational, operational, commercial and stakeholder interfaces are identified, tracked, resolved and formally closed.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain interface management systems, plans and procedures, and lead project teams in proactive interface identification and resolution
• Maintain the Interface Register, assign ownership, track actions to closure and monitor interface performance metrics
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, construction, commissioning and operations teams, and between contractors and vendors
• Support brownfield modification planning, SIMOPS coordination, tie-in and shutdown planning, and operational readiness reviews
• Interface with ADNOC, PMC teams, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders, and manage their expectations
• Identify interface-related risks, develop mitigation strategies and escalate high-risk issues
• Ensure interface activities support HSE objectives and quality requirements, and support audits and assurance reviews
• Maintain interface dashboards and reports, report performance to Project Management and prepare management summaries

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Minimum 8 years of interface management experience on major capital projects
• Minimum 5 years of PMC experience
• Strong understanding of engineering, construction, commissioning and operations interfaces
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred certifications include PMPP, PMI-SP, PMP, Certified Risk Management Professional, HAZID/HAZOP awareness, NEBOSH International General Certificate, Stakeholder Management Training and Interface Management System Training.
