Interior Designer

About the role

PlaceUp is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer in Dubai with experience across residential, commercial and hospitality projects. The designer develops interior design concepts from the initial brief through detailed design and execution, making sure projects meet aesthetic, functional, technical and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements, briefs and budgets
• Prepare mood boards, material palettes, space plans, layouts and detailed design presentations
• Develop furniture, finishes, lighting, colour schemes and other interior elements
• Produce detailed drawings, specifications and design documentation, including 2D drawings and 3D renders
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and other consultants
• Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, samples, finishes and mock-ups, and select furniture, fixtures, fittings and materials
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and project standards, and present proposals to clients
• Manage several projects and deadlines while supporting the team during implementation and handover

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field
• Years of relevant interior design experience
• Strong portfolio showing residential, commercial and/or hospitality projects
• Good knowledge of construction and interior fit-out processes
• Strong communication, client-facing, and multi-project management skills

Required skills

• AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite
• Design presentations, technical drawings and material specifications
• Understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and spatial planning
