Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The Internal Audit Manager leads and manages the internal audit function across INDEX Holding and its subsidiaries, providing independent assurance and advisory services. The role safeguards organisational assets, strengthens internal controls and supports business objectives through risk management, governance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan across the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Lead financial, operational, compliance, integrated and information systems audits, including on-site operational and field audits.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance frameworks, and identify control weaknesses and process gaps.
• Review business processes, develop process maps, audit programmes and supporting documentation.
• Lead special investigations, validation testing and follow-up audits; prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and report outstanding issues to senior leadership.
• Build working relationships with senior management, department heads and external auditors, and ensure compliance with regulations, policies and professional standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CIA or ACCA is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant internal audit experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Experience in holding companies, multi-entity environments and financial, operational and compliance audits.
• Willingness to travel within Dubai for field audits; valid UAE driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk management frameworks, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Proficiency in process mapping, audit documentation and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead audit engagements independently and manage multiple priorities.
