Internal Audit Quality & Excellence Manager (IT Audits)

About the role

Masdar is seeking a Manager to lead internal audit and advisory engagements focused on IT audits and renewable energy portfolio management. The role provides reasonable assurance that internal controls are effective, efficient, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on technical and non‑technical audit engagements from start to finish.
• Coordinate with Quality Reviewers to ensure all deliverables meet quality standards before submission.
• Apply advanced data‑analytics techniques to detect patterns, trends and anomalies in financial and operational data.
• Develop and maintain the annual risk assessment and advisory audit plan.
• Prepare, review and approve risk and control matrices (RCM) and supporting working papers.
• Review field auditors’ work, ensure completeness, and provide guidance on additional areas to be examined.
• Contribute to the unit’s operational business plans, KPIs and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, risk assessment and advisory services, preferably within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy portfolio management and related regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to lead teams, manage stakeholder relationships and communicate audit findings to senior management.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) are desirable.
