Internal Medicine Consultant - Abu Dhabi

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its adult medical care, inpatient management and complex comorbidity clinics and is seeking an Internal Medicine Consultant. The role suits internationally trained clinicians who want career advancement, strong clinical exposure and the chance to work in a modern, quality-driven environment serving a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level care for adult patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Lead inpatient rounds, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning and discharge coordination
• Manage complex comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, cardiac and renal conditions
• Coordinate referrals with subspecialists and support continuity of care across outpatient and inpatient settings
• Supervise junior doctors, support evidence-based protocols and take part in clinical governance
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation, ensure medication safety and comply with UAE healthcare standards

Required profile

• Internationally trained consultant with recognised qualifications such as ABIM, UK CCT / MRCP / FRCP, European Board or national specialist registration, Royal College Certification (Canada), Australian FRACP, Arab Board, or MD / DNB / FCPS or equivalent
• Candidates from the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, India, the Middle East, Africa and South America, subject to UAE licensing and facility credentialing eligibility
• Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication with diverse patients and teams, and willingness to adapt to UAE regulations and hospital governance
