Internship and Career Specialist – Law Focus

About the role

The Internship and Career Specialist (ICS) will manage and develop internship opportunities for Law students at the University of Dubai, ensuring alignment with academic schedules and career goals. The role involves building employer relationships, coordinating placements, and supporting career development programs across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of law student internships, aligning schedules with UK academic timelines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with law firms, legal departments, judicial entities, and regulatory bodies to create new internship opportunities.
• Maintain a legal‑sector employer database, tracking contacts, placement history, and feedback.
• Collaborate with College of Law, Registration and Finance departments to ensure clear internship timelines and requirements.
• Provide guidance to students on resumes, interview preparation, and expectations for legal internships.
• Support career development programs such as DBS, MOHRE initiatives, and Dubai Business School career portfolio.
• Collect and report KPI data related to employment relevance, job offers, and employer feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Career Counseling or related field; career advising certificate preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in recruitment or university career services.
• Strong knowledge of internship policies, career resources, and occupational trends.
