Inventory Manager for Dubai Tunneling Project

About the role

The Boring Company is seeking an Inventory Manager to own end‑to‑end inventory for its Dubai tunneling project. You will establish the warehouse function from day one and scale it as the project grows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run the inventory function: layout, storage, slotting, labeling and best‑practice execution.
• Oversee daily receiving, storage and issue of TBM spares, precast plant raw materials, consumables and site equipment.
• Establish and audit critical TBM spare kits to protect tunneling uptime.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, reconcile variances and drive process improvements.
• Monitor stock levels, set reorder points and alert the team before shortages impact operations.
• Coordinate inbound international shipments, handle UAE customs clearance and manage import documentation.
• Work with purchasing and vendors on delivery scheduling, inspection and resolution of shortages or damages.
• Implement inventory management systems, train staff and lead the hiring and development of warehouse personnel.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and project safety standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of inventory control, warehouse or materials management experience in construction, heavy industry, manufacturing or oil & gas.
• Hands‑on knowledge of inventory systems such as SAP or MOS/MES.
• Experience with cycle counting, root‑cause analysis of discrepancies and inventory accuracy programs.
• Currently based in the UAE/GCC or eligible to work in the UAE.
• Experience with UAE customs processes and import/export documentation is strongly preferred.
