Inventory / Supply Planner

About the role

The Inventory / Supply Planner will develop and execute inventory and supply plans to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory. You will work closely with demand planners, category managers, procurement, logistics and warehouse teams to align supply capabilities with commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory and supply plans, including Open‑to‑Buy (OTB) budgets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to balance demand forecasts with supply capacity.
• Participate in S&OP meetings, providing inventory insights and risk assessments.
• Analyze sales trends, stock turns, fill rates, aging inventory and out‑of‑stock performance.
• Generate purchase and replenishment plans based on forecast, lead times and supplier performance.
• Identify supply‑chain risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Support new product launches, seasonal planning and promotional activities.
• Prepare regular reports, dashboards and business reviews for management.
• Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and planning processes.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of experience in inventory, supply or merchandise planning, preferably in retail, distribution or consumer goods.
• Experience with categories such as electronics, toys, home appliances or general merchandise.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, OTB, demand planning and inventory optimization.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
