Investment Banking Analyst Intern (M&A)

About the role

FTI Capital Advisors, part of FTI Consulting, provides M&A, equity and debt raising and independent financial advisory services, mainly in TMT, power renewables and energy transition, healthcare, industrials, aviation and aerospace. It is recruiting an Investment Banking Analyst Intern to support the origination and execution of M&A transactions, from the initial phase to closing, working on challenging mandates across industries and geographies.

The internship starts on 14 June 2027 and ends on 20 August 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Support the origination and execution of M&A mandates and transactions, from origination through to closing.
• Help build business and financial models and perform valuation analyses.
• Assist in designing and creating documents for client meetings covering strategic alternatives, M&A and corporate finance.
• Conduct thorough research to gather project-specific information and turn complex analyses into actionable conclusions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Actively pursuing a full-time degree with graduation or a gap year/semester between June 2027 and June 2028.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the entire duration of the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Preferred: understanding of corporate finance principles and methodologies.
• Preferred: advanced level in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Additional languages are an asset.
