Islamic Studies Teacher – AY 25‑26

About the role

The school is seeking a passionate Islamic Studies Teacher for the 2025‑2026 academic year. You will deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their best outcomes while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Islamic Studies lessons that cater to the full ability range of the class.
• Organise classroom resources, create displays and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Assess and record student progress using the Target Tracker system and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external professionals such as speech therapists and educational psychologists.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and act as a positive role model.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events, outings and weekly extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is an additional language.
• Demonstrated passion for holistic education, professionalism and a commitment to child well‑being.
