Islamic Studies Teacher (AY27/28)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an Islamic Studies Teacher for the academic year 27/28 to join its growing network of schools in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, inclusive lessons that inspire curiosity and support the academic, social and personal development of students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring Islamic Studies lessons that align with the curriculum and promote student achievement.
• Plan and prepare engaging, play‑based sessions for a mixed‑ability classroom.
• Assess student progress, record data using Target Tracker and provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff and parents to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and act as a positive role model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom Arabic is not the first language.
• Commitment to inclusive, play‑based learning and to the values of the Abu Dhabi community.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and willingness to undergo safeguarding training.

Required skills

• Experience delivering Hybrid, Distance and Face‑to‑Face lessons.
• Effective use of learning technologies to support instruction and assessment.
