IT Administrator

About the role

The IT Administrator will ensure the smooth operation of Fortes Education's technology environment in Dubai. You will be responsible for maintaining hardware, software, network services and security systems to support staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Administer policies for computer use, data access, software updates and password management.
• Install, configure and test server software, operating systems and hardware upgrades across multiple platforms.
• Deploy Macintosh and PC applications, printers, scanners and related peripherals.
• Maintain network operations, including file, print, web, database and proxy servers, as well as organization‑wide backup and routine maintenance.
• Lead projects such as system migrations, installation scheduling and product research.
• Monitor database activity and performance to ensure security and reliability.
• Prepare documentation, procedures, reports and operational manuals.
• Train technical staff on new and existing systems, applications and hardware.
• Troubleshoot network hardware, software, telephony, security and AV systems to restore services promptly.

Required profile

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA (CCNP a plus), MCITP or MCSA, CompTIA (Hardware+, A+, Network+), ITIL.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, Android, iOS environments and enterprise security tools.
• Strong knowledge of HP servers, SAN storage, Aruba Wi‑Fi, HP switching, Mitel IP telephony, Samsung CCTV and access control systems.
