IT Executive

About the role

Careers International is hiring a full-time IT Executive in Dubai. The role covers installing, configuring and maintaining IT equipment, providing first-level technical support to office and site staff, and keeping networks and user accounts running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, scanners and other IT equipment.
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, VPNs and other network systems.
• Manage user accounts, emails, file sharing and access permissions (e.g. Microsoft 365, domain systems).
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and resolve them promptly.
• Perform regular data backups, antivirus updates and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Coordinate with external vendors for IT services, software licenses and system upgrades.
• Maintain the IT asset inventory and arrange timely servicing or replacement of equipment.
• Assist in setting up new user systems and give basic IT orientation and training to staff.
• Support software used by technical and design teams (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, project management tools).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2-4 years of IT support experience; UAE experience preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365
• Basic networking and hardware troubleshooting
• Familiarity with cloud services, backup solutions, antivirus and firewalls
• Knowledge of ERP systems or interior fit-out software is an advantage
