IT Field Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Field Engineer to deliver on‑site IT infrastructure support across multiple client sites in the UAE. The role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining hardware, software and network components while meeting SLA commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and support desktops, laptops, printers and network devices on client locations.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance for hardware, software and network issues.
• Diagnose incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Log and track all incidents and service requests using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
• Execute system upgrades, patching and routine maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Support project implementations, including system commissioning and deployment at client sites.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Maintain documentation of activities, solutions and asset inventory.
• Deliver end‑user training and guidance on IT systems and applications.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security guidelines and ITIL best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 5–8 years of IT field support experience within the UAE.
• Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel across client locations.
• Strong customer focus, communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• High accountability, ownership and problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking basics and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Proficiency with ticketing tools (ServiceNow or similar) and ITIL processes.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for hardware (desktops, laptops, printers) and network devices.
