IT Lecturer – BTEC Level 3

About the role

The City University Ajman is seeking a full‑time Information Technology Lecturer to deliver BTEC Level 3 IT courses. You will introduce students to productivity suites, basic networking, and hardware concepts while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for BTEC Level 3 IT, covering Microsoft Office applications, networking fundamentals, and desktop/laptop hardware.
• Collaborate with other institute staff to identify and address IT knowledge gaps among students.
• Coordinate with fellow IT instructors to integrate and update curricula.
• Monitor computer lab usage and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Enforce student management and disciplinary policies.
• Provide advisory support to students and faculty requiring IT assistance.
• Perform clerical duties related to textbooks, instructional supplies, attendance, and student records.
• Participate in curriculum planning meetings with the CEC In‑Charge and other IT instructors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at the higher secondary level.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preference given to candidates with prior BTEC teaching experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Understanding of desktop and laptop hardware.
