IT Officer

About the role

C2i, a company focused on retail, hospitality and lifestyle, is looking for an IT Officer to maintain, troubleshoot and optimise its IT infrastructure and systems. The role covers technical assistance, hardware and software management, network security and data backup and recovery, keeping IT systems reliable, secure and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise IT equipment and systems such as servers, desktops, laptops, printers and security software, and diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
• Implement and manage data backup processes and monitor system performance for upgrades or replacements.
• Install, configure and maintain networks, servers, operating systems and applications; implement antivirus, endpoint security and password management policies.
• Support access controls and data protection measures.
• Provide technical support to employees in person, by phone or remotely, install and maintain operating systems and applications, and manage user accounts and profiles.
• Help deploy and test new applications and systems, and prioritise support requests within agreed service levels.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors, maintain IT asset inventories and technical documentation, follow IT procedures and safety checks, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in IT support, IT operations or a similar technical role.
• Previous helpdesk or end-user support experience preferred.
• Experience with business applications, IT asset management and vendor coordination is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of operating systems, networking and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems.
• Organised, proactive and able to work with cross-functional teams.
