IT Procurement Specialist

About the role

Manage and coordinate AESG’s global IT procurement activities, ensuring timely, compliant and cost‑effective sourcing of hardware, software, licences, subscriptions and technology services across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, consolidate and assess IT procurement requirements in collaboration with IT and other departments, including forward planning for new joiners, replacements and business growth.
• Source and evaluate vendors for hardware, software, SaaS, cloud services and telecommunications, using competitive quotations or tendering where appropriate.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, warranties, support arrangements, payment terms and contracts to achieve best value and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Maintain complete procurement records, including quotations, approvals, purchase orders, contracts, supplier agreements, warranties and renewal dates.
• Collaborate with IT, Operations and Finance to prepare and manage IT procurement budgets, forecasts, committed spend and actual expenditure.
• Monitor vendor performance, ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements, and escalate risks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT procurement, technology sourcing or related commercial procurement role.
• Strong commercial negotiation, contract management and vendor management skills.
• Ability to independently manage day‑to‑day IT procurement activities across multiple stakeholders and locations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT hardware, software, SaaS, cloud services, licensing and subscription models.
• Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, purchase order workflows and asset or licence registers.
• Analytical, organisational and communication skills for fast‑paced environments.
• Certifications such as CPSM or CITPP are a plus.
