IT Supervisor – Hotel Technology Lead

About the role

Earth Jumeirah Beach is looking for an IT Supervisor, its sole IT lead, who is fully accountable for the day-to-day operation of all hotel technology systems and for supporting staff and guests with reliable, secure and efficient IT services. Working independently, with technical direction from the Director of IT & Infrastructure, the role covers hands-on support, systems and infrastructure management, vendor coordination and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Own the daily functionality of all hotel IT systems, hardware and software, and provide hands-on technical support to staff across departments
• Troubleshoot system failures, connectivity issues and device problems, prioritise requests by operational impact and stay on call for critical outages
• Support guest-facing technology such as internet access, IPTV, telephones and in-room systems
• Administer PMS, POS, payment terminals, door locking and back-office applications, and plan updates and patches with vendors
• Monitor network performance and Wi-Fi coverage, keep equipment rooms, cabling, servers, switches and access points in good order, and enforce cybersecurity and brand IT standards
• Manage user accounts and access rights, ensure PCI DSS compliance for payments and data protection compliance, and investigate security incidents
• Deliver security awareness training, including new joiner onboarding, and keep asset, license and equipment records accurate
• Manage hardware assignments, replacements, preventive maintenance and secure disposal, and contribute to the annual IT budget and capital expenditure planning
• Manage IT vendors and service providers, log and escalate service calls, and lead procurement of IT equipment
• Maintain backups, IT documentation, network diagrams and SOPs, and lead the IT response during outages
