IT Support Technician

About the role

The IT Support Technician will ensure the reliability and security of the company's network infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT team to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and software across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace routers, switches, servers, and telecommunications equipment.
• Provide technical support for network operating systems and applications, addressing connectivity, security, and performance issues.
• Configure and manage firewalls and endpoint protection systems to safeguard network integrity.
• Troubleshoot network outages, slow performance, and configuration errors.
• Maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, and asset registers, including user accounts and software distribution.
• Conduct regular network audits and physical inventory of IT assets.
• Support network integration, functional testing, and ensure optimal system operation.
• Keep network infrastructure organized, secure, and compliant with safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of IT customer support experience in an office environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are highly desired.
• Strong ability to interact with employees at all levels and from diverse cultures.
• Analytical, independent, and team‑oriented work style.
• Adaptability to a rapidly changing technical environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
