Junior Accountant - Contracting

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join a leading contracting company in Dubai. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting activities within the construction sector and supporting the finance team in delivering accurate financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain bookkeeping records.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers and other financial documents.
• Perform bank reconciliations and keep ledgers up to date.
• Assist with month‑end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Monitor project‑related expenses and process contractor payments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE accounting standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the UAE contracting or construction industry.
• Immediate availability to start.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and general ledger.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
