Junior Accountant (Female-Filipino)

About the role

Ultiwise Consult is hiring a Junior Accountant in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The role covers general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, expense reimbursement and payroll recording, with a focus on supporting the finance department of a construction-related business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger entries, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Assist in preparing financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Process vendor invoices against purchase orders and receipts, and pay suppliers on time.
• Track customer invoices and payments, and help resolve billing discrepancies.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
• Review and process employee expense reports in line with company policy.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations, tax laws and industry standards.
• Record payroll in the books of accounts according to project allocation.
• Help with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and time management.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; proactive and willing to learn.
