Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the Finance & Accounts team by maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, and assisting with reporting and compliance. This role offers hands‑on experience across core accounting functions within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.
• Prepare invoices, manage billing, and follow up on customer payments.
• Perform basic reconciliations such as bank, supplier and customer account balances.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in preparing journal entries and support month‑end closing activities.
• Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial data.
• Manage petty cash records and staff expense claims.
• Execute ad‑hoc finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or project‑based environment.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to system‑based processes.
