Junior Accountant - Travel and Tourism

About the role

We are a travel and tourism company based in Dubai, partnering with airlines, hotels and tour operators. We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team and support day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare financial statements and monthly variance reports.
• Process supplier invoices, reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintaining vendor and customer records.
• Post journal entries to the general ledger and reconcile bank/credit‑card accounts weekly.
• Assist the manager with income and expense forecasting.
• Prepare monthly payroll and submit to management.
• Set up and maintain company asset and supplier registers.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE corporate tax laws.
• Provide credit control and support tax audits and liaison with the FTA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the travel & tourism industry.
• Experience with VAT filing and UAE corporate tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to prepare management reports and present to stakeholders.
