Junior Data Scientist – Healthcare AI & Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our remote‑first team focused on healthcare AI and analytics. You will work with clinical and operational data to develop predictive models and generate insights that improve patient outcomes and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze clinical, operational and patient datasets to uncover insights and trends.
• Build, test and refine machine learning models for predictive healthcare applications.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis to support business decisions.
• Create dashboards, reports and visualisations using modern BI tools.
• Clean, prepare, validate and transform structured and unstructured data.
• Support AI‑powered healthcare initiatives and predictive analytics projects.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to deploy data‑driven solutions.
• Improve data quality, reliability and analytical workflows.
• Automate recurring reporting and data analysis processes.
• Document methodologies, experiments and analytical findings.

Required profile

• Curious and motivated professional with a strong analytical mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning or related technical roles, or strong personal projects demonstrating analytical skills.
• Interest in healthcare analytics, AI and machine learning.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms, predictive modelling and statistical analysis.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
