Junior Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our team and help turn large, complex datasets into actionable insights. The role involves collaborating with analysts, engineers and mission partners to build data‑driven solutions that support intelligence and operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured datasets.
• Support the development, validation and deployment of predictive and AI/ML models.
• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for collection, processing and integration.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance data quality, structure and accessibility.
• Identify data gaps and propose optimization opportunities.
• Participate in team meetings, project discussions and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning or related technical roles.
• Strong quantitative and analytical mindset with the ability to communicate findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Understanding of intelligence analysis processes and mission‑oriented requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, R and SQL.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based big‑data technologies.
• Basic knowledge of statistical techniques and AI/ML concepts.
