Junior Developer - Data & AI

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Developer to support the design, development and maintenance of data and AI solutions within our Intelligent Automation and Analytics team. Working under the guidance of the Manager, you will help build reliable data pipelines, integrate AI models and contribute to automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building and testing data pipelines, ETL processes and simple data transformations for analytics and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with senior developers and data engineers to embed AI models and automation components into existing applications and workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, follow coding standards and help improve code quality and documentation.
• Perform basic data exploration, validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy for AI models.
• Develop and maintain small scripts, utilities and APIs that support reporting, automation and data processing.
• Support monitoring, troubleshooting and escalation of issues related to data pipelines, AI models and automation solutions.
• Document technical specifications, design artefacts, test cases and deployment steps in a reusable format.
• Work with business stakeholders and analytics teams to translate requirements into technical tasks.
• Assist with deployment, configuration and version‑control of data and AI assets across environments.
• Contribute to proof‑of‑concept projects by building prototypes and experimenting with new tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Up to 3 years of experience in software development, data engineering, analytics or AI‑related projects, including internships or academic work.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong interest in learning data engineering, AI and automation technologies.

Required skills

• Understanding of data pipelines and ETL concepts.
• Basic programming/scripting ability for developing utilities and APIs.
• Exposure to AI/ML model integration and automation workflows.
• Knowledge of version‑control systems and deployment processes.
• Awareness of data governance, security and compliance principles.
