Junior Dry Utilities Engineer – Design

About the role

The AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure Business is looking for a motivated Junior Dry Utilities Engineer (Design) to support multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects across the GCC. You will assist in planning, designing and engineering dry utility networks such as power distribution, street lighting, telecommunications and renewable energy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of MV/LV networks, street lighting, telecommunications and related utility services.
• Support senior engineers with detailed engineering designs, calculations, reports, specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate utility designs within infrastructure projects.
• Prepare utility authority submissions and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Produce design documentation using industry‑standard software and BIM tools.
• Participate in design reviews, quality assurance processes and site visits as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of experience in dry utilities design and infrastructure projects.
• Basic understanding of power distribution, street lighting, telecommunications and utility coordination.
• Strong communication, report writing and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
