Junior Legal Counsel (Emirati Talent)

About the role

The Junior Legal Counsel will support EDGE's Legal Department with legal research, drafting, and contract compliance, ensuring all documentation meets statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Research case-related factual issues using internal and external sources.
• Conduct legal research to determine precedents and support case building.
• Perform due diligence on contracts and business agreements for statutory compliance.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence in English and Arabic.
• Maintain legal records, statutory books, and the law library.
• Handle day‑to‑day legal enquiries from business units and ensure confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or multinational legal department.
• Strong drafting skills for contracts and legal opinions.
• Proficiency in legal research and document analysis.
• Knowledge of UAE laws and international legal practices.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
