Junior Procurement Officer (UAE National)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a proactive Emirati professional to join its procurement team. This junior position offers the opportunity to learn end‑to‑end sourcing, buying, PO processing and contract administration within a regulated aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support Category Managers through the full sourcing lifecycle (requirements definition, RFI/RFP, award, contracts).
• Execute tactical and low‑value procurement using self‑service channels such as P‑Cards, managed catalogues and guided buying.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement operations, ensuring compliance with Etihad policies and proper use of Ariba and SAP tools.
• Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Perform post‑contract administration, including consumption tracking, reporting and supplier performance monitoring.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve payment issues.

Required profile

• Diploma‑level qualification.
• Awareness of aviation or indirect procurement categories.
• Preferably 3 years of procurement operations or sourcing experience.
• Familiarity with Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes.

Required skills

• SAP procurement module.
• Ariba sourcing and procurement platform.
