Junior Rust Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Rust Developer to join our engineering team. You will work on production‑grade Rust and Golang code across backend services, embedded firmware, and blockchain protocol components. The role offers rotation between three technical tracks, with all changes reviewed by senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Rust code for HTTP/gRPC services, device firmware, or smart‑contract logic.
• Write unit and integration tests, fix bugs, and refactor existing modules.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Debug real‑world issues such as failing requests, flaky hardware, or unexpected on‑chain behavior.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience or strong personal/open‑source projects.
• Proficiency with both Rust and Golang.
• Solid understanding of Rust fundamentals (ownership, borrowing, Result/Option, traits, error handling).
• Comfort with Git, command‑line tools, and reading unfamiliar code.
• Clear written communication and willingness to learn from feedback.

Required skills

• Rust (async frameworks such as Tokio, Axum or Actix)
• Golang
• SQL, serde, Docker
• Embedded development (no_std, C, microcontrollers – Cortex‑M, ESP32, RISC‑V, I2C/SPI/UART)
• Blockchain basics (consensus, cryptography) and experience with Solana/Anchor, Substrate or CosmWasm
• Git and command‑line proficiency
