Junior Videographer/Editor

About the role

Smart Zone is looking for a creative Videographer/Editor who can take video content from concept to final output. The ideal candidate is comfortable both shooting and editing, with a strong understanding of social media-first content and storytelling. The position suits someone with 1-2 years of experience in a corporate, marketing agency or similar environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and shoot videos for social media, campaigns, events and corporate content.
• Edit Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts and other digital videos, including cuts, pacing, transitions, subtitles, sound design and colour correction.
• Create engaging video ideas and stay up to date with social media and editing trends.
• Repurpose existing footage into multiple edits, cut-downs and formats for different platforms.
• Create basic motion graphics, animated text, transitions and visual effects.
• Keep all videos consistent with Smart Zone's visual identity.
• Use Photoshop and Adobe tools for basic design needs when needed.
• Organise footage and project files and deliver content within deadlines.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in videography, video editing, content creation or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok and other short-form video formats.
• Good knowledge of storytelling, pacing, transitions, sound and colour correction.
• Basic understanding of cameras, lighting and audio equipment.
• Basic knowledge of current trends and AI.
• Portfolio or showreel of previous work required.
• Ability to work independently, manage several projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro (proficiency)
• After Effects and Photoshop (working knowledge)
• Short-form video editing and motion graphics basics
