K-9 Trainer for Military Working Dogs

About the role

ITA International is seeking a qualified K-9 Trainer to support the 9th Air Force Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on training, caring for, and managing Military Working Dogs (MWD) to ensure base security and operational readiness across multiple regional locations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and document all MWD training, maintaining current proficiency standards.
• Assist the kennel master with dog care, feeding, kennel maintenance, and transport logistics.
• Coordinate training and duty schedules for the entire MWD team.
• Maintain administrative, accountability, and medical records for all dogs and equipment.
• Obtain training support requirements and manage storage, inventory, and accountability of training aids.
• Serve as primary or alternate custodian for all accountable assets.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience providing MWD team training.
• Graduate of the Department of Defense Kennel Masters course.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a government‑issued driver’s license.
• Secret security clearance.
• Experience with U.S. Air Force Equipment Custodian processes is desired.
