Kids Robotics & Coding Instructor

About the role

Rixos, a luxury resort chain, is looking for a full-time Kids Robotics & Coding Instructor for its Rixy Club in Ras Al-Khaimah. The instructor teaches children robotics, coding and STEM activities while keeping them safe and supervised during club sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and run robotics, coding and STEM activities for different age groups, introducing programming concepts, logical thinking and computational thinking
• Teach children to build, program and operate simple robots with age-appropriate kits and coding platforms
• Supervise children throughout each session, enforce safety rules and report accidents or hazards to the Kids Club Supervisor / Manager
• Maintain the robotics and coding area, check equipment and keep an inventory of kits, computers, tablets and learning materials
• Communicate professionally with children, parents and guardians, give feedback on children's progress and gather feedback to improve activities
• Follow activity schedules, coordinate with the Entertainment team, complete registration forms and parental consent documents, and assist in organising special events and workshops
• Keep children's and families' personal information confidential and follow child protection and emergency procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, diploma or relevant qualification in Robotics, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Education or STEM Education preferred
• Previous experience teaching robotics, coding, programming or STEM to children highly preferred
• Good English and Russian; additional languages are an advantage
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays, and physically fit for rescues, extended standing and outdoor duties

Required skills

• Familiarity with educational robotics kits, block-based coding platforms and basic programming concepts
• Ability to explain technical concepts simply and engage children
• Teamwork with the Kids Club and Entertainment teams
