Laboratory Technician – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our testing facility in Abu Dhabi. The role involves setting up, operating and adapting test equipment to support client projects while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate and maintain laboratory test equipment and test arrangements according to approved test plans.
• Perform tests on client samples following valid procedures, standards and evaluation criteria.
• Record test data, prepare data sheets and generate test reports.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and measurement instruments.
• Communicate with customers and engineering staff to clarify test methods and results.
• Suggest improvements to equipment, processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Higher secondary education with at least three years of relevant laboratory testing experience.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with customers.
• Innovative mindset and willingness to work in a team‑oriented environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Required skills

• Operation and basic calibration of laboratory test equipment.
• Knowledge of IEC standards such as IEC 61439, IEC 60529, IEC 62208 and IEC 61921.
• Ability to incorporate automation into routine testing.
