Land Surveyor for Marine and Infrastructure Projects

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to support marine and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves conducting a variety of surveying activities and ensuring accurate data for construction and marine works.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out land and construction surveying for marine and infrastructure works, including topographic, setting‑out, as‑built, and verification surveys.
• Establish and maintain project control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and levels.
• Set out roads, utilities, earthworks, structures, foundations and other infrastructure elements.
• Perform surveys for marine works such as reclamation, rock placement, revetments and edge protection.
• Verify line, level, alignment, dimensions and elevations against approved drawings.
• Conduct quantity and progress surveys and support measurement of completed works.
• Prepare and review survey reports, as‑built drawings and survey records.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, geotechnical engineers, marine inspectors and site teams to resolve survey‑related issues.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment including Total Station, GNSS/GPS, digital levels and related tools.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in land and construction surveying; marine project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coordinate systems, benchmarks and survey control.
• UAE experience is an advantage.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Total Station, GPS/GNSS equipment.
• AutoCAD and surveying software expertise.
• Experience in setting‑out, topographic, as‑built and construction measurements.
