Land Surveyor - Road and Bridge Infrastructure

About the role

Zutari designs and delivers infrastructure across Africa and the Middle East, and is hiring a Land Surveyor for road and bridge infrastructure projects. The role covers setting out and surveying works, checking construction against approved drawings and RTA requirements, and coordinating with site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying works, including horizontal and vertical alignment, road geometry and levels, and bridge structures, foundations and associated civil works.
• Verify line, level and dimensions of construction works against approved drawings, specifications and RTA requirements.
• Review and confirm contractor survey data, calculations and setting-out reports.
• Conduct as-built surveys and help prepare and verify as-built drawings.
• Monitor compliance of survey works with project tolerances and quality standards.
• Coordinate with site supervision teams, engineers, contractors and subcontractors, and identify and correct errors in survey data.
• Maintain accurate survey records, field notes and reports, and support audits, inspections and handover documentation.
• Ensure all survey activities comply with HSE standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in land surveying for infrastructure projects, especially roads and bridges.
• Proven experience on RTA projects in Dubai with strong knowledge of RTA and DM surveying standards and procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a site-based, fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Total Stations, GPS/GNSS and Auto Levels.
• Strong knowledge of survey software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing and verifying as-built surveys and documentation.
