Landscape Site Engineer

About the role

The Landscape Site Engineer will oversee post‑contract landscape activities, ensuring that hardscape installations and related works meet project specifications, codes and quality standards. Working on‑site, you will coordinate inspections, documentation and communication between contractors, landscape architects and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all landscape inspection tasks in line with contract requirements and QA/QC procedures.
• Prepare and submit detailed site inspection reports to the client.
• Verify that hardscape installations comply with specifications, building codes and industry standards.
• Assess material quality and workmanship throughout the construction phase.
• Coordinate construction issues with contractors, landscape architects and project managers.
• Review and comment on technical submittals, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, ITPs and RFIs.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure efficient completion of inspections.
• Utilise document‑control software such as Aconex, SNAGR or similar platforms as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supervising landscape and irrigation construction.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software and other landscape design tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of hard‑scape material installation techniques and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings.
• Attention to detail and solid problem‑solving abilities.
