Landscape Supervisor

About the role

Wasl, one of Dubai's largest real estate management companies, is hiring a Landscape Supervisor (Band 6, Operations, Asset Management Services & Solutions) to oversee landscaping, irrigation, gardening and horticultural activities across its sites. The supervisor reports to the Landscape Manager and coordinates the landscape service provider, ensuring proper planting, maintenance and irrigation performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance, planting, irrigation and horticultural work by the service provider, in line with approved scopes of work, SLAs and quality standards.
• Monitor irrigation systems and fix defects or breakdowns promptly.
• Oversee planting of trees, shrubs, ground cover, seasonal plants and ornamental vegetation, and manage fruit trees, vertical farming, hydroponic, aquaponic and other cultivation systems.
• Inspect landscaped areas regularly for plant health, irrigation efficiency, cleanliness and asset condition, and resolve issues such as pests, diseases, soil deficiencies and irrigation failures.
• Monitor vendor performance, manpower, materials and productivity against contractual KPIs, and review maintenance reports and inspection findings.
• Plan enhancement projects, seasonal planting programmes and improvement initiatives with internal stakeholders and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements, and maintain regular site presence.
• Verify invoices, recommend payment approvals within delegated authority and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Facilities Management.
• 3-5 years' experience in landscape operations.
• Proven experience as a Landscape Supervisor or similar role.
• Experience with fruit trees, specialized planting, irrigation systems, hydroponics, aquaponics, vertical farming and controlled environment agriculture.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (proficiency required).
• Reading landscape drawings is an advantage.
• Vendor oversight, quality assurance, reporting and analysis, and financial awareness.
