Laundry Agent

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, based in the Laundry Department, is hiring a Laundry Agent. The role delivers high-quality laundry services to guests and colleagues, ensuring garments, uniforms and linens are cleaned, pressed and presented to the hotel's standards. The agent reports to the Laundry Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage guest laundry by collecting, sorting, cleaning, pressing and inspecting garments according to care labels and hotel standards.
• Oversee uniform and linen care, including sorting, cleaning, distribution, repair and inventory checks.
• Operate laundry machinery safely and in line with maintenance and operational guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and store uniforms and linens in a clean, organised way.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments, especially during peak demand.
• Respond quickly to guest requests, deliver items on time, handle complaints professionally and meet hotel standards.

Required profile

• Senior High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in textiles, fabric care or hospitality is a plus.
• At least 1 year of laundry or housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel; Middle East experience is an advantage.
• Effective verbal and written English; Arabic is an asset.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving and ability to manage several tasks independently.
• Physically fit, able to work overnight shifts and maintain a professional appearance.
