Lead Architect – School Design & Campus Development

About the role

The Lead Architect – School Design & Campus Development is the central design authority for K‑12 campuses within the Global Schools Group. Reporting to the Group Head of Projects & Infrastructure, the role shapes pedagogy‑led, future‑ready learning environments that meet international curriculum standards, sustainability goals, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead campus master planning and concept design for new and existing schools from Pre‑Primary to Grade 12.
• Translate the 9GEMS pedagogy into integrated spatial plans covering academics, sports, arts, innovation, wellbeing and community functions.
• Establish, review and approve global design standards, ensuring architectural quality and brand consistency.
• Drive BIM‑led coordination, manage consultants and oversee design reviews from concept through post‑occupancy.
• Ensure compliance with sustainability targets, cost optimisation, regulatory approvals and live‑campus delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in K‑12 school architecture and campus master planning.
• Deep understanding of international curricula (CBSE, IB, Cambridge, British, Montessori) and child‑centric design principles.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary design teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability standards, regulatory codes and cost‑control practices.
