Lead Auditor - ISMS IT

About the role

Bureau Veritas is hiring a Lead Auditor for ISMS/IT certification in Abu Dhabi. The position reports to the Operations Lead and the Certification Manager and works closely with the Certification Manager, Technical Manager, Operations Lead, other senior lead auditors and auditors, sales and technical teams, customers and project management consultants, and business unit heads.

Key responsibilities

• Perform external audits in line with ISO standards, including planning, conducting and executing the full certificate cycle.
• Manage clients during audits: set expectations, give regular updates, handle NCRs and coordinate report completion.
• Submit completed reports to the technical centre for approval and follow accreditation requirements.
• Follow field and travel HSE requirements and track, manage and communicate audit plans and schedules.
• Work impartially, without conflict of interest, and act as a team player across functions.
• Complete regular technical and HSE training, take part in IMS audit observations, and meet KPIs on audit completion, HSE adherence, report completeness and defects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience successfully planning, executing and completing ISMS/QHSE/BCMS audits for marine, oil and gas clients.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree; ISO 27001, 22301, 20000, 27701, 9001:2015, 14001:2015/2026 and 45001:2018 training is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage clients and teams, and solve problems proactively.

Required skills

• Knowledge of management systems, ISO HLS, ISO standards and ISO 17021, IAF and accreditation requirements.
• Knowledge of industry classifications such as NACE.
• Office 365 (Word, Excel) and planning/scheduling software.
