Lead Contracts Engineer

About the role

Worley Parsons is seeking a Lead Contracts Engineer to oversee contract administration for EPC and FEED phases of major oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical contract management, risk mitigation, and close collaboration with owners, contractors and the project management team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of EPC/FEED contracts, including kick‑off meetings, change orders, payment certificates and close‑out procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE goals, insurance requirements, performance guarantees and warranty obligations.
• Review and comment on contract baselines, responsibilities, and key management documents.
• Monitor and evaluate contract changes, variations, and claims, preparing monthly administration reports for both subcontractors and the owner.
• Coordinate with legal, PMC, and the EPC/FEED contractor to resolve contractual issues and mitigate project risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with at least 5 years in a similar senior contract role.
• Proven experience on major offshore projects and familiarity with ADNOC requirements.
• Experience working in the GCC region, preferably on EPC/FEED contracts.
