Lead Contracts Engineer

About the role

Lead the Contracts, Procurement and Materials team to ensure project execution aligns with the Project Execution Strategy, Plan and Procurement & Materials Plan while meeting HSSE goals.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, contracts and procurement processes.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve contracting issues during EPC/FEED phases, including review of contract baselines, requirements, responsibilities and management documents.
• Administer EPC/FEED contracts: conduct kick‑off meetings, manage accounting, change evaluation, notices, payment certificates and guarantee compliance.
• Monitor insurance requirements, claim documentation and performance/bank guarantees.
• Manage contract changes, scope, cost, schedule and quality through change orders, variations and amendments.
• Review contractor reports for potential claims, delays and risks; prepare monthly subcontract and contract administration reports.
• Oversee project records management, ensure clean‑desk policy and secure handling of commercially sensitive documents.
• Coordinate with PMC Project Manager on contractor performance, claims, back charges and prolongation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, with at least 5 years in the GCC region.
• Proven experience in major EPC/FEED projects, managing specialist and engineering teams.
• Experience in PMC roles, offshore projects and preferably ADNOC contracts.
