Lead, Microsoft 365 Platform

About the role

The Electronic Government Authority (EGA) in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a Lead for its Microsoft 365 Platform. This senior technical authority will own the end‑to‑end design, governance and implementation of the M365 E5 ecosystem across all government departments. The role is hands‑on and works closely with IT Infrastructure and Information Security.

Key responsibilities

• Own and govern the Microsoft 365 tenant architecture, ensuring secure, consistent configuration aligned with Microsoft best practices.
• Lead Entra ID configuration, including MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, application registrations, privileged access controls and administrative access models.
• Manage the hybrid identity environment, overseeing on‑premise Active Directory, Entra Connect synchronization and remediation of security assessment findings.
• Define and maintain Microsoft Intune MDM posture, covering device compliance, configuration profiles, application deployment and update management.
• Implement Microsoft Purview governance, including sensitivity labels, retention policies, DLP controls, audit logging and eDiscovery readiness.
• Configure and tune Microsoft Defender for Office 365 protections in partnership with Information Security.
• Own architecture, configuration and governance of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
• Lead Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness and adoption, defining prerequisites, data governance boundaries, security controls and phased rollout plans.
• Maintain active engagement with Microsoft account teams and the broader Microsoft community to stay ahead of platform developments.

Required profile

• Hands‑on technical ownership of a large‑scale Microsoft 365 E5 ecosystem.
• Proven ability to work closely with IT Infrastructure leadership and Information Security teams.
• Strong collaboration skills with external Microsoft partners and community.
