SAP Basis & Security Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis & Security Consultant to join a leading organization in the Power Generation Equipment sector. You will support a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation, ensuring the landscape is well‑administered, secure, and optimised.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis administration activities, including system installation, configuration, monitoring and performance optimisation.
• Design, build and maintain SAP authorization roles and profiles aligned with business and audit requirements.
• Conduct periodic Segregation of Duties analysis, access reviews and remediation.
• Manage transport requests, system landscape (DEV/QA/PRD), client copies and change‑control processes.
• Administer SAP HANA database – backup/recovery, performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Support system upgrades, Support Package Stack updates and Enhancement Package implementations.
• Configure and maintain SAP GRC Access Control processes, including access requests and emergency access.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network and security teams to maintain compliance.
• Prepare and maintain Basis and Security documentation, SOPs, runbooks and audit reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• 6–9 years of SAP Basis and Security experience, with at least two full‑lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or upgrade projects.
• Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA database management and SAP Security & GRC.
• Good understanding of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Fiori/Gateway security, SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud Connector.
• Experience with OS/DB migrations, patching, kernel upgrades and Support Package/Enhancement Package implementation.
• Analytical mindset, stakeholder‑management skills and ability to work independently onsite.
