Lead Software Engineer - React Native & React.js

About the role

This role leads the design, development and maintenance of secure, scalable mobile banking applications built with React Native, and the frontend for customer-facing digital banking journeys with React.js. It suits a senior engineer with strong technical leadership, mentoring and architecture skills.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and maintenance of secure, scalable mobile banking apps with React Native, and frontend work for digital banking journeys with React.js.
• Define frontend architecture, coding standards, reusable components and development best practices.
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, architects, security teams and backend developers.
• Oversee integration with APIs, microservices, OAuth/OIDC authentication and enterprise middleware.
• Ensure compliance with banking security standards, regulatory requirements, secure coding and accessibility guidelines.
• Drive performance optimization, scalability and responsiveness across mobile and web channels.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, testing and production issue resolution.
• Support CI/CD automation, DevSecOps and continuous improvement of build, test and deployment processes.
• Take part in sprint planning, estimations and Agile ceremonies, and coordinate on technical risks, timelines and dependencies.

Required profile

• 7+ years in front-end engineering, including at least 3 years in React Native and proven experience leading technical delivery.
• Banking, financial services, digital channels, internet/mobile banking or fintech experience is mandatory.
• Proven track record of customer-facing apps with high availability, security and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading frontend teams, defining technical standards and driving architecture decisions.
• Preferred: retail or corporate banking apps, mobile security testing and penetration testing knowledge, and enterprise-scale digital transformation experience.
